Ammonium nitrate is a universal and effective nitrogen fertilizer, containing 34.4% nitrogen, used in agriculture and industry.
It is used:
- as a universal and effective nitrogen fertilizer for almost all crops and for all areas of agriculture;
- as a nitrogen-containing component in the manufacture of mixed fertilizers;
- for the production of explosives.
Available in granules treated with a surfactant that provides good flowability and anti-caking of the product during storage.
The use of ammonium nitrate
This type of fertilizer is absolutely universal and can be used on any soil. At the same time, keep in mind that depending on the type of soil, you may need to add some other types of fertilizers. For example, if on buffered or alkaline soils you can use ammonium nitrate without any restrictions, then when treating acid soils, you will need to use nitrate in combination with limestone flour in equal proportions.
Ammonium nitrate has earned the respect of farmers for its high solubility, which allows it to be perfectly absorbed by the soil. Traditionally, a greater effect is achieved by fractional application of fertilizer. This method will allow you to avoid rapid leaching of nitrate nitrogen from the soil.
